The Mask

She hides behind a mask, losing

herself to something she doesn’t know.

She cries on the inside from being

scared too much. Who is she? I don’t

know. Mask, tell a story full of joy.

But this one, no. This one is full

of people she doesn’t recognize more.

She’s been through friends moving,

schools changing, parents fighting,

and from losing people she loved

the most, like her grandpa.

Who is she? I don’t know.

My name is London Dansby, and I go to Evans Middle. My favorite hobby is playing volleyball, and I love ice cream, bracelets, drawing and making slime.
